Frequently Asked Questions

University Services

We serve patients between the ages of 18 and 64, with a particular focus on the college community. This includes undergraduate and graduate students, staff and faculty and their families, as well as recent graduates.

If you are outside of this age range or do not fall into one of these categories, please complete our appointment request form, and we will initiate our internal referral process to connect you with another Mindpath Health clinician who may be available to help.

Every school is different. We encourage you to check with the university and your insurance provider to see if a referral is required before seeking services.

The first step on your journey begins with meeting with your provider and discussing your concerns. By listening, asking questions, and taking notes, your provider will conduct a comprehensive clinical interview to learn more about you. Together, you and your provider will thoroughly discuss all options before agreeing on the best course of action.

We plan our appointments to ensure our clinicians can dedicate the necessary time and attention to each patient. To help us maintain this level of care, it is essential that you honor your appointment by arriving on time or providing a cancellation notice at least two (2) full business days in advance of your scheduled appointment.  Effective 9/15/25, failure to cancel your appointment in this timeframe, missing your scheduled appointment, or arriving late to your appointment will result in a $100 fee.

The number and frequency of sessions is determined based on your individual treatment plan and goals. Certain insurance companies and plans may limit the number of sessions they cover. We will work closely with you to ensure you have that information.

Unless you are a conservator or the patient is underage and you are their parent or legal guardian, the patient must be the one to engage the services of Mindpath College Health.

If you are concerned a friend or loved one is having a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For counseling and resources, call the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741.

With Mindpath College Health we want to take measures to make sure you are safe and in a space that will provide the best possible therapeutic experience. We require that all clients are in a private and addressable space during sessions (our providers will verify your location for your safety).

State law protects the confidentiality of communications between a client and a therapist.

There are notable exceptions:

  • Mandated reporting for suspected Child/Elderly Abuse
  • Serious threat of physical violence toward others
  • Serious threat of danger toward self
  • Court order
  • Information requested by FBI
  • A client signing a Release of Information (ROI) to coordinate care

About

Dr. Robbyn takes a psychodynamic, relational, and strengths-based approach to therapy, creating a space where patients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. She is guided by authentic curiosity about each individual’s experiences, values, and goals, and works collaboratively to tailor care to their unique needs. Her work often explores how past experiences shape present patterns, while actively identifying and building on each patient’s strengths and resilience.

Dr. Robbyn prioritizes trust and emotional safety, fostering a strong therapeutic connection as the foundation for growth. Her style is thoughtful, flexible, and engaging—integrating insight-oriented work with practical problem-solving, and when appropriate, humor to make the process feel approachable and empowering.

She enjoys working with college and graduate students across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, academic stress, life transitions, self-esteem, loneliness, and uncertainty about direction. She also supports patients navigating family dynamics, identity-related experiences, disordered eating and body image concerns, and learning differences.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Robbyn enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
