About

Laura uses an integrative approach (prioritizing CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused approaches) that puts her clients at the center of their care and ensures that treatment is structured and adaptable to each individual’s needs. If a patient feels ambivalent about change, Laura works collaboratively with them to explore barriers and identify achievable, sustainable steps forward. Understanding where a patient is emotionally and mentally allows her to offer the right support and encouragement to create meaningful progress.

Laura was inspired to pursue mental health work through her own experiences with intergenerational stress. She has witnessed firsthand how limited access to mental health services and societal pressure to manage stress independently can impact family relationships. Laura believes in empowering individuals to take an active role in their mental health, ultimately improving well-being at both personal and community levels. She has experience in school-based programs and private practice.

Laura specializes in supporting clients navigating depression/anxiety, academic life, processing life transitions, building healthy relationships, and navigating family dynamic.

Outside of clinical work, Laura enjoys spending time with family and finding new books to read.

About

Carrie (she/her) pursued her Master’s in Counseling after undergoing her own young adult experiences of existential anxiety and grief. During that journey, she realized that much of what she experienced was universal, and that therapeutic support is essential to those navigating ongoing, developmental stressors.

Young adulthood is such a complex and important life stage and is particularly anxiety inducing and isolating in our current era. She loves working with college and graduate students for that reason and is grateful to support them in an essential phase of personal and relational self-discovery. Carrie also enjoys couples work and helping partners build a stronger connection rooted in honesty and compassion.

Carrie approaches her work from a psychodynamic, existential, and relational lens, while emphasizing a trauma-informed perspective and genuine curiosity about her patients’ internal worlds. Carrie likes to explore what overarching themes patients can identify in their story and uses that to inform the therapeutic trajectory. She loves using humor, and she views the relationship between therapist and patient as the most important aspect of successful therapy.

Outside of her clinical work, Carrie enjoys reading (particularly novels and narrative non-fiction) and spending time in nature with her husband and Great Pyrenees, Luna.

About

Tyler helps clients overcome challenges in their life by using evidence-based strength and solution-focused approaches. He is compassionate and non-judgmental and offers practical therapeutic skills to use between sessions. His strengths include supporting clients with the following challenges: self-discovery, anxiety, depression, relationships, self-esteem, making big decisions, and future planning.

Tyler utilizes evidenced-based modalities and techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Biosocial Theory, Strengths Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Tyler decided to leave his career in tech and become a mental health therapist to be the change he wanted to see in the world. This big decision was influenced by the therapeutic experiences and challenges he had in his twenties with self-discovery, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and making big decisions.

Tyler brings a lot of myself into his therapeutic work. Clients will learn he’s a huge adventure fantasy nerd, a big fan of MythBusters, and grew up in a blue-collar single-mom family, and enjoys walking, road trips, making art, and reading.
